FOUNDING

M.J. Hamilton DVM,DACVIM

PVOC and PVS were both founded by M.J. Hamilton DVM,DACVIM (Onco). While in specialty practice Dr. Hamilton recognized the need for a closer connection between general practitioners, owners and specialists. All too often specialists are shielded from the front lines of veterinary medicine where pet owners and veterinarians establish their relationships. Bringing specialists to the private practice setting allows easier access to specialty care, maintains strong relationships, and expands the veterinary care available in the general practice setting. Being in-house also helps patients get work up and treated faster.

This passion motivated Dr. Hamilton to bring comprehensive oncology care to general practice for the first time in 2017. PVS allowed pet owners, veterinarians and specialists to finally work together in one setting.

WHY GO MOBILE?

Mobile practice allows oncologists to practice the way they want. Up until now the career path for an oncologist has been as an associate or spending millions on a brick and mortar specialty practice. Mobile allows doctors to stay private and dictate their own schedule, staffing, caseload and pricing without taking on millions of dollars in debt. Mobile also provides the freedom to pick and choose where and when you practice, without being limited to any one location. As an owner, you can take the practice anywhere you want to go.

Mobile also allows you the ability to help patients in a new ways. Bringing specialty care to the general practice setting allows for faster work ups and treatment, improving patient care. You are also able to provide specialty care where pet owner and the veterinarian need it… closer to home and in a familiar setting. Pets benefit from having their whole team in one place. Continuity of care and communication is taken to a whole new level.

“Oncologist, Primary Veterinarians and Surgeon... all working together in the same place! It’s the best. ”

WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG?

Practicing medicine will always present challenges! Similar situations arise for both mobile and brick and mortar. Power, internet, weather, patient needs, supplies, staffing- they all can change at a moments notice. We have experienced it all and are here to help you. As oncologists we are accustomed to diseases being unpredictable. Owning a practice is similar, we are here to show you how. We have a lot of it already figured out for you

THE HEALING ENVIRONMENT

Our departments are built specifically for the care of pet cancer patients. Our unique multi-room design is intended to ensure the safety of both the patients and their care team. This patented design incorporates the most current chemotherapy safety principles and is the first of its kind. Chemotherapy and general working areas are completely separated as is the donning area. Separate ventilation systems are utilized for each room for proper airflow. We do not retrofit or refurbish RVs, every unit is built to our specifications.

Our departments were also designed to be a comfortable environment for pets. The department is quiet and has ample natural lighting. We utilize non-slip surfaces for our exam tables and flooring to help pets feel secure.

New units can be customized relative to both interior and exterior colors.

With each unit standard operating procedures are provided to ensure the department is being utilized for maximum safety and proper efficiency. (Patent No. 11,672,712)
